POMPTON LAKES, NEW JERSEY

Pompton Lakes, New Jersey

Nestled between two central New Jersey towns, Pompton Lakes and Wayne Township, this 175-acre man-made lake was formed in 1908 by damming a section of the Ramapo River. Its lush natural surroundings, part of the 9.6-acre Terhune Memorial Park, are home to many species of birds, fish, and other wildlife. A popular location for watersports, its convenient boat launch is located right below the parking lot and can be accessed from Terhune Drive in Wayne. View upcoming activities in Pompton Lakes
