This three-night hiking trip is the perfect mid-summer adventure for hikers of all abilities. From your basecamp at the historic Garnet Hill Lodge, located in the massive 6-million-acre Adirondack State Park, you’ll enjoy cozy accommodations, mouthwatering meals, and stunning views overlooking Thirteenth Lake – along with two full days of choose-your-own-adventure hiking opportunities through stunning mountain scenery and wild forests, and along remote lakes and rivers.
Each evening, you’ll be briefed on easier and more difficult hiking options for the following day. When you head out, you’ll hike confidently – and at your preferred comfort level – as you’re led by certified New York State Guides who are experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate about the area’s history and surroundings.
Each exciting day out on the trail will be fueled by DIY pack lunch featuring an assortment of trail-friendly foods to choose from. Buffet-style breakfasts and dinners are prepared and served onsite at the Log House Restaurant – the perfect way to start and end your day. Every evening, you’ll be glad to retreat back to the lodge where you can relax and socialize in the cozy Log House lobby, take in gorgeous views from the front porch, and stargaze by the campfire. Ready for bed? Head to your private room for a restful and rejuvenating night’s sleep.
Throughout your stay you’ll enjoy your downtime by soaking in the surrounding beauty, checking out the lodge’s private beach (1.2 miles away), and enjoying campfires with s’mores under the vast open night sky.
